What would you like to know? I have driven it a few 100 times over the years between bellingham and moses lake where my family lives. Its a fairly clean single lane(4 lane closer to steven pass) after you leave monroe, and you pass thru 4 or 5 small towns and its really pretty all the way to levanworth(cool town) and then you get to orchard country at cashmere and wenatchee on to rock island, quincy, ephrata etc all the way to spokane. The scenery from the summit of stevens pass east to levenworth along the river is great and levenworth is worth a visit. let me know if i can help you more, enjoy!

We took US2 from St.Ignace Michigan to Everett when Ceec had the Yakima event. Great trip, be sure an spend some time in Glacier Park. "Road to the sun"
Then be ready for grain fields as far as you can see, and some of the biggest grasshoppers around!
Minnesota will give you the head waters of the Mississippi River at Itasca then Lake Superior. Turn right head south and pick up Vroomkrazy on the way!!

When we left Green Bay last year we got on US 2 at Iron Mountain and drove west all the way to Minot ND then turned south and headed for Artesia..... :)! :)! :)! :)! :)! :)!

......That was just a GREAT drive on mostly 2 lane roads.....It was very well maintained and if we were up there again I would drive it again.....The worst part of the road was in the Duluth because they were rebuilding the interchange of interstate I-35 & US 2.......That should be done by now and I bet it is a beautiful intersection as intersections go... :)! :)! :)! :)! ..........Stop every place you can cause there is lots to see......... :)! :)! :)! :)! :)! :)! :)!

The Mighty Mississippi River is only about 25 feet wide on US 2, not very Mighty, I say..........South of Minot you will also cross the Headwaters of the Missouri River it ain't very big up there either.......
One more thing you will run across on US 2 in the center of the North American Continent......Rugby ND, stop there!!!!! :)! :)! :)! :)! :)! :)! :)! :)! :)! :)! :)! :)! :)!

Thanks guys, good information!! That is the kind of hiways we like to travel. To bad it's eastern end stops in St. Ignace. Is there a fairy across to Mackinaw??? lol OMG: grasshoppers, they do get greasy on the road, car wash for sure. So much to see, so little time to get it done :!: :!:

Just found out (like a few minutes ago) that US30 is NOT the only US hiway that tracks coast to coast, Astoria, Oregon to Atlantic City, New Jersey. So does US20, from Newport, Oregon to Boston, Massachusetts!!! Been our plan to do US30 coast to coast, and return on US50, from Oceanside, Maryland to Sacramento, California.

eeeehhhaaa, now we have another road trip to plan, but - - BOSTON!!!! Sounds like a Tea Party to me
Oh well, hard to say what we do next, Well, I guess Indy is the next road trip.... Leave in 2 1/2 weeks :D :D :D :D :D :)! :)! :)! :)!
This wait is killing us       Hope to see you all in Indianapolis....................lyle

Maybe we ought to head to Indy via Artesia, makes for a crooked trail we like to leave behind us as we travel.

Any windmills down that way?
