Just a friendly reminder

If you are planning to put up a canopy for your car, please ensure you bring adequate weights. Prescott’s elevation is 5,300 ft. The hotel and event area sit on top of a hill overlooking the city of Prescott. It does get breezy during the day. Every day we have been there planning for this event it has always been breezy.

JUST NOTE: We will not be responsible for your canopy should it blow away or damage someone’s vehicle. That will be your responsibility.

Again this is just a friendly reminder.

I remember one of the Nationals that was in Mountain Home at the fair grounds and while we were out on a cruise a micro burst hit. I had 2 1/2 gallon jugs full of concrete ( guess they weighed +/- 40 lbs each )and bolted to the feet of each leg. When I returned I found the jugs spread out over about 150 yards with the triangle pieces still bolted, but the rest of the canopy was missing. I actually never found the rest of the canopy. After that my motto has been, easy up is also easy down when I'm not around.
I don't even recall the last time I put up my canopy, but I still carry one when I travel.
