Iowa Fun Run Hotel and events information

Here are a few details for the Winterset, Iowa Run July 18th thru 21, 2019.

Hotel reservation can be made at the Cobblestone Inn 515-462-4889. Rates are King $100.00 Double Queen $95.00. This is a 2 story hotel with no elevator however they will have staff to help with luggage to 2nd floor. It is Pet friendly just tell them at the time of reservation you have a pet. Breakfast is included and there is trailer parking on the grass in the back of hotel. Tell them you are with the T-bucket group. If you come in early this rate is good for the whole week.

Camping is at the City Camp ground just about a mile away from the hotel. They have full hook ups as well as partial hook ups. They will begin taking reservations on January 2, 2019 phone is 515-462-3258. If you are thinking about camping you might want to get your reservations in early as the county fair is going on the same week-end.

Winterset is the town where the Bridges of Madison County was filmed. It has a lot of history and is a very welcoming community.

I will have a schedule of events to come but one event for sure is happening Friday. We will be going to Ankeny, Iowa to the Albaugh Collection. This is a private collection of cars that contains a convertible from every year GM made one. It
also has signs, peddle cars and much, much more. This is a private collection so it can only be seen by scheduling.

So be ready to have fun, eat lots of food and drive your buckets along some of Iowa's most scenic roads. Hope to see you in July and I will keep you update.

If you happen to come in on Wednesday the County Fair is having a truck and tractor pull admission is $10.00 but should be fun.
