NTBA Indy Roadster Roundup Info:

Ok guys, sorry for taking so long to get this info out- I'll just say that this has been an extremely busy year for me personally and professionally. With that being said, here is the pertinent info. More specific info on cruises and tours will be released as we get closer.

Dates: Thursday, September 19 thru Saturday, September 21. We'll plan something on Wednesday for any of the early bird arrivals.

Hotel: The Host hotel will be the same as the previous 2 Indy events, but it is now called The Waterfront Hotel. The Rate is $79+tax. Rooms are blocked for Wednesday thru Sunday, but they will honor the rate if you stay earlier or later. You must CALL and tell them you are with the NTBA (National T-Bucket Alliance) to get the rate. Do not book through the website. Hotel phone number is: 317-299-8400.

Tentative Plans: Like the last couple Indy events, we'll be doing a tour at least one of the premier NHRA teams shop. Unlike the last 2 events, the teams will be in town, so you'll get to see what the teams do to prep in the shop for the events. We'll have at least another cool tour during the week as well. We'll have several cruises around Indy and the surrounding areas- one being to Nashville Indiana and we're working on getting the group in to Brown County State Park for a really nice scenic cruise. Friends of the club, Walt's Hot Rods, is excited to put on another open house/cookout at their shop like we've done in past years. Saturday, we'll make a run to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway museum, then we'll have a show and shine at the hotel to wrap up the event.

We will have at least one cookout at the hotel and don't worry, we'll have at least on ice cream run or two!

I'll be posting all this info and more on a Facebook Event page as well so we can track attended and get info out there as well. I'll be sending out that link as soon as it's up.

Ok, so here's what YOU need to do now:

1. Book your hotel stay 317-299-8400

2. Go on the NTBA website and go to the event thread on the forum and register so we can use that to help us plan.

3. Make sure you requested these dates off at work. If you are retired, or plan on quitting your job in the next 2 months, skip this step. You'll have nothing else to do, so no excuses!

4. Start getting excited - but not too much yet, we're still over two months away...

If you've not been to an Indy event before, it's definitely a good time. If you are unsure, ask some of the members that went to the regional or the Nationals held here. There is a real thing here in Indiana called "Hoosier Hospitality". People are friendly and you'll find that we really love Racing, Hot Rods, anything fast, and basketball - but mostly stuff with big fast engines!
