I would like to throw this out for consideration from the membership.... Why not move the 2020 NATS to Boerne, Texas?

Lets just say, If we get to go to Southwest Texas in July why do we need to call it a Nationals?
Why don't we just go and cruise a bunch just like we do anyway....
There would not be anymore folks than would want to drive that far anyway. What do we do at a Nationals that we don't mostly do at a Fun Run, People have been working on the Nationals in Tenn for over a year now and if it was moved we would only have 90 days to set it up. Now we can't move around as much as they did for the last year...…
I say lets just "HOPE" we can go there in July for the Fun Run and then do a Nationals next year in Tenn....

I agree with Mike. I think we're putting too much emphasis on a title. I think it has been handled the correct way and I doubt if arrangements have been made in Boerne to handle such a crowd. The main thing is to get back out there and have some "Buckethead Togetherness". So whenever and wherever that might be, we'll just make the best of it. So........here's a "Be safe and Be healthy" to all the family.

I did talk to Lyle about this subject and he sees the reasoning. But just to explain it to rest of you, in the short version 
.
First Boerne is not big enough for a NATS, the hotel is not, the town is not.
Planning a NATS is like putting on a Super Bowl, whereas doing a regional is like a pick up football game in the park! Also, a lot of people plan to attend that one big event for the year. They save $$, plan their vacations, and whatever else. It wouldn’t be fair to just go, “ok, let’s have it here!”.
One of my biggest things with the club is, “ if I’m going to do it, then do it right!” That’s the way I feel about NATS. Let’s do a good one next year. Plus Boerne is going to be good all on its own!!
