I think the top rpm for this drive was 1400. It was my typical 1400 rpm to 1000 rpm up shift sequence, which with very light throttle is plenty to keep up with downtown Hangtown traffic. We now call it Placerville, which is 1/2 way between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe, and 9 miles from Coloma, where John Marshall discovered gold at Sutter's Mill, and hence the gold rush out west. A number of the homes and businesses I passed in this drive are 170 years old, which isn't so old on the East Coast, but out this way some of the oldest. This town has the oldest, continuing operating hardware store in the entire state. At the end of the video I'm waiting to get on State Hwy 50 westbound.

Any chance of other members giving a video and short history/geography lesson? I think it is a fun way to learn about the area other members hail from.

I do too Lou. It is a shame how some people do others---their cars or what ever. Just tell them you don't like them, and maybe they will make friends with someone else. Leave their cars alone. Too hush/hush for those involved to talk about for someone knows and won't tell all/everyone exactly what happened to all of the members so they could have a say as to what should/could be done about the happenstance.

Be glad it wasn't my car, eye for an eye, I say and do. Yes my brother put a helmet sticker on my gas tank as I've told others, but he didn't do it out of malice. 1 inch wide by 3 inches long and hardly noticable with the silver paint and the stainless keg.

Every time I hear about this, I get all fired up! Maybe I won't get voted out for speaking up for Bob, but he is a nice guy with a NICE car and he has the same every day problems the rest of us has. Which one of you would like to take care of your 90 something year old Dad and still have a life, which is just one thing he is dealing with. If everyone had looked into the future as he did and had the forethought to set a goal and stick to it, maybe you would talk about what you have and how much you enjoy it. He is very knowledgeable about a lot of things that you and I don't know a thing about. For me, I think we have lost a lot of good/knowledgeable members to some sort of harassment, bigotry or SOMETHING just because they didn't like those people. I can count at least half a dozen that I knew. Others I am sure. You can always pick your friends, but you can't pick your family, and in this family I think we have some problems. I truly wish we all could act civil towards each other at least when we get together for what this club is supposed to be about--T-Buckets and family/friends. How long till you see them again, if ever? How hard is it to say I'm sorry and to offer to pay to repair Bob's car or ask some of the lost ones to return?

It is unfortunate that this has come up again. What I will tell you is that the incident was interrigated, reviewed and solutions were offered and made.There was no physical damage done to anyone's car period.... It was through his own actions that Bob is no longer on the site. You are correct, we are a family and with any family there is always a practical joke that doesn't go as planned, or someone get's their feelings hurt for one of many reasons. While we can work to help resolve those type of things, AND WE DID AND WILL CONTINUE TO, there comes a time when it doesn't matter how hard you try or what you say or do, there is just no reasoning with someone. At that point, you do what is best for the family. I hope this clarifies to your satisfaction as I will not discuss it further. If this becomes an issue, it will be removed. Thank you for understanding.
