posting pic size.....

How do you post pics the size of the ones posted by Bob Lemke, insted of the attachment size that have to be clicked on in order to be seen......

Have your pictures stored on an off site source, like Photo Bucket, a free hosting service then just link back to here or any other forum you are active on.

Once downloaded to PhotoBucket, click on the "IMG" code, that will copy the info, then when your done typing in this box, hit "enter" on your keyboard for a new line....

and then "Crtl" and "v" on your keyboard


And you will see as text, the IMG instructions to the forum. When you click "Submit" on the forum, presto.....

The problem is not resizing, I've been doing that since the old board. The problem is the size the pic comes on the board as an attachment. That appears to be the only way it will let me post from my computor. I do not use a off site storage, had a bad experience....I feel the pics have much more impact when they have so size to them, not the attachment size. As I remember the biggest complaint on the old board was about posting pics, but I never had any trouble there.....

OK, inline photos from a storage site are forced to 670 wide..... photos uploaded the proper way (I know, debatable, lets not start it again) and uploaded from your computer are limited to 1050 wide and 300K..... so photos uploaded with a thumbnail are actually wider and can be better quality. If the issue is that you have to actually click on the thumbnail to see the larger photo, there is nothing that can be done about that. The reason for the thumbnails is that it actually keeps your downloads lower for anyone with limited bandwidth. The larger inline can photos suck up a ton of your download bandwidth. Anyone viewing from a mobile device with limited bandwidth should be VERY careful viewing photos from the site. Hope that answers your question...Ted
