1956 Ford 2-door Sedan

Post by Gary Shugart »

Just purchased a 1956 2-door Sedan last week (looking to repaint and do some interior work) and other various items to be done. One item I'm looking for is a 'passenger side sun visor bracket', can't seem to find one any where. Anyone know where I might pick one up at (just curious). Also need to replace the door window channels on both sides (it's the channel that runs across the top and down the toward back side of the door). I checked with 'macsautoparts', they don't have those parts available....Got to be some place in US that has a lot of these old cars around. Any info would be helpful... thx..

Gary try Dennis Carpenter Reproduction Ford parts......there are several reproduction companies out there making these parts....I will look at a couple catalogs I have in the shop and let you know.....

Hey Gary how about a picture of your new ride? I know it's not a bucket but it's still a Ford :D

Thx John for the comments, but those 'white' door handles just have to go. It's a good 20 footer. Body work not so good, even though looks OK in the picture, also someone painted the dash a brownish color (with a brush). So I have work to do to get it like I want....
