Re: ‘26 Nats?
And yes, I am still here and among the living much to the dismay of many.
We are both doing well up here in da tundra. Health wise, Lisa received a new knee two years ago. I’ve had heart issues, ticker shocked twice and then an ablation mid December ‘21, back in sinus rhythm since then. Second week in April of this year I received a totally new left shoulder. What bytes is it will take anywhere from 6 -12 months until complete recovery and strength comes back.
Other than health issues, we’re both doing good. Lisa finally retired from her sales gig and I’m just retired. Still have the LGSM, though sometimes I wish I’d sell it. Looks like I might not be driving it at all this summer because of shoulder.
Seasons are changing up here. Went from Fall last week to Summer yesterday. Welcome to Wisconsin.
Bought myself a new (to me) 2022 RAM Laramie Sport last April. Only 27k on the clock. Maroon in color, blk interior with the 5.7 Hemi E-Torque. Lisa calls it the land yacht.. feels much bigger with the crew cab, but it’s not really. This truck gets up and scoots, and arrives quickly.
Still have the sardine can. Finished off interior. Don’t know that I’ll ever have the LGSM in it ever again. Mainly use for storage now.
Had an old Navy musician buddy of mine take pics of the bucket in front of the “shrine”. Came out pretty good.
Well this is all from me. Thought I’d drop in and say “HEY!”
By the way, I almost forgot, check out the PUBLIC forum on here in next two weeks, I have a bunch of NEW t-shirts from past Nationals that I will have up for sale. Only two were ever worn. My intentions “early” on was to purchase an extra event shirt, take home and have them mounted inside a nice frame and hang on shop wall. Never got around to that happening, so hope to sell these shirts, if I don’t sell, then come heating season, I’ll toss in wood boiler.
I do have one item that I’m thinking might be of interest to an autograph hound. It’s a t-shirt from the 2003 Nationals at Hannibal, Missouri, but not just any old t-shirt. This is a “nicely framed” t-shirt autographed in his permanent marker pen by none other than the late great Norm Grabowski! I will have photos of all items. Also have items from the “Association” days.
Well okay, enough of my babbling. Again, check back here in two weeks. NONE of these items will be posted on FB. I have to abbreviate the name because I call FB something else. A certain person in this organization thought I was referring to the NTBA on FB. Completely wrong he was.. but then I just considered the source of the individual.
Cheers and peace
