ND oil rises to record 23.1M barrels in October

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The state Department of Mineral Resources says North Dakota oil drillers produced a record 23.1 million barrels of oil in October.

The agency says oil producers pumped an average of about 747,000 barrels of oil each day in October. That's up from about 729,000 barrels daily in September.

There were 8,025 producing wells in October, up from 7,899 in September

I also worked in this industry for Noble Drilling. If we consume at our current rate the known discoveries (less the Bakken discoveries), then we will have harmed the atmosphere to the point of needing head to toe UV protection to be outside. A sad legacy to leave our children.

I'm ok with it right now, I could use some more greenhouse effect up here, I'm freezing my arse off.
I like the idea of US refined fuels instead of buying abroad. Americans will use it, might as well be buying our stuff and not theirs, greenhouse effect will be the same I would think. we won't use anymore than we need.Same as buying an american auto versus a non american auto, I'm all for promoting americans in the workplace to feed american families.

I'm all for buying American also. I think we should use our own oil if we have enough.
