Hey Lugnut they said that the storm may close three refineries on the east coast Monday on the Sunday morning news and with in the hour gas went up $.45. Just think what will happen if they really close.
Been there, done that, hope to live long enough to do it all again.

As a volunteer at the local shelter, I want to remind everyone to prepare for protecting their pets, too. Have carriers, etc., handy. Put all required medications in a bag. Pack enough food to last a week (whew!). Be sure you have rabies vaccination records; many shelters will not allow your pet in without it.

the price of my home just went up... my neighbors property looks like a lake.. fairly steady winds and steady rain now. my 75ft pines are sway'n nicely.. hope it stays sway'n not fall'n.. and it will be easier to pull gas out of the T instead of the tk... good suggestion bob... hang'n tight, all ok now, we'll see this afternoon...

well now.. that was an interesting nite.. wife put out a 5 gal bucket yesterday and its one inch from being full.. the neatest part was we happened to be on the southern part of the eye wall.. 60 mph winds dropped to bout 20 in a very short time. i was surprised i had none of my tall pines down.. just a few limbs.. WV got hammered with snow..
now its time to clean up the mess...

Wow---what a day/night. When that thing went by last night about 8:00PM it was like somebody just flipped a switch and turned off the wind! We had over 14 inches here and NO damage that I can see here at the house. That can't be said for some of the beach front areas. Route 1 has 6 feet of sand piled up on it down near the inlet---That will take some time to clean !!
