Just tells us there is a least one satellite that covers the polar regions. I'll bet he doesn't have the Internet 24 hours a day, just during a pass.

We have a connection 24/7 routed throuh Denver.

You have it better than me when I'm sailing. Satellite a bit too pricey, I go with amplified Wi-Fi and external directional antenna, but live with just HF SSB while on a passage. At anchorage I check what Wi-Fi is strong, then go ashore and become a customer of the bar, eatery, or whatever business that is putting out a good signal.
