Re: Words & Thoughts from the President
Some of you have been asking, “ that date is open, why not just move it there?” I wish it was just that easy
Myself and the board work with the individual event hosts. We initially plan out these events coordinating, dates, locations, hotels, times, runs , etc. All this has to come together. Sometimes it clicks immediately and other times it takes a while. Remember, I was late getting the runs announced this year? That’s because a couple of them we could just not get worked out. Those of you that have put on an event know what I’m talking about.
I was very disappointed to cancel the first four events. I especially was looking forward to Gulfport! But as you know, the price (risk) was to high! I talked to David and left the decision up to him of when he wants to do it. One thing he mentioned was Cruise the Coast is happening in Oct. all hotels are already booked, or more expensive than we want to pay. Plus, he’s the host, it’s gotta work for him. Vacation (which he took for April for his event, and he’s with the Police department, so he’s been working through all this) and all the repeat planning. If it doesn’t happen this year he’s going to do it next year same time.
It’s also unfair to say these were the best events. Everyone puts just as much effort in their events. If it holds, the Presidents run in Boerne, Texas will be our first event ( don’t worry I won’t take offense to the comment
), followed by some other great places!
So, we do what we can, when we can. The good part of all this is that it’s never over, we’ll just see you at the next event!

Re: Words & Thoughts from the President
As one of my last acts as a Member of the National T Bucket Alliance Board of Directors, I am posting this info.
Due to the fact that the Nationals have been canceled this year, 2020, and will be held in 2021, at the same location. We as a NTBA board have made some decisions as pertains to the Officer Election that was happening for June 2020 and to follow the Bylaws as close as possible we have made the following officer appointments.
Bruce DeAngelis for President (the office he now holds) & Cory Cothern for Sargent at Arms. We only had these two members step up for the offices of President & the Sargent at Arms for the 2020 Election. These two officers will begin their new terms on June 13, 2020 & run through June 2023.
In January 2021 we will need to elect three NTBA members for the offices of Vice President, Secretary, & Treasure, so be thinking about helping to run this great Club in one of these offices. These terms will run from June 2021 to June 2024.
I have very much enjoyed my time as Sargent at Arms for the NTBA and I truly hope some members step up to serve the club. Thanks to all of you my job has been very easy, step up to an officer and you will enjoy the experience...

Lol. I'm not ready for that yet. Still trying to learn the by-laws. I have 6 pages printed off to try and study.

A Note From The President
Hi All,
A quick update on where we’re at today. As most of you know, and for those who did not get the information, our first four events of the season were cancelled including Nationals in Townsend, Tennessee in June.
As of this writing we are still on for the next five events, Presidents Run, Boerne, TX, North Star State Fun Run, Rochester, MN, Lake of the Ozarks, Osage Beach, MO, Lobsta Run, South Portland, ME, and Razor T’s Regional Fun Run, Mountain Home, AK. Unfortunately the Arizona T’s Fun Run, Tucson, AZ was cancelled. All events, schedules and updates are listed under our website nationaltbucketalliance.com
The Presidents Run in Boerne, TX is scheduled for July 9-11. We’re watching this closely while things in Texas are starting to open up May 1st. Right now the cut off date for hotel price is June 8th. I’ve written the hotel to ask to extend that, to give us more decision time.
As I’ve stressed from the beginning, we will not do an event until everybody is comfortable attending. I’m not feeling any pressure that we have to risk putting on an event and take a chance.
Myself like all of you, am anxious to get together to cruise and socialize! So remember, we’re not done! Whenever this stuff is over, we’re back cruising together and enjoying it all! We’ve got many places to go!
