Tunnel Ram for the street

Purchased the tunnel ram for the street setup from Colorado Hot Rod Parts who advertizes in the monthly newletter. Shipped some of the parts off to Mirror Polishing. Just got the Fedex tracking notice that my manifold parts for the dual high rise are on the way back from the mirror polishing shop. That means that next week I will start the planning stages of removing the old manifold and carb and start to install the new setup!

Still have a couple of things to purchase to get ready for the change over … intake gaskets, new flex fuel line, new throttle cable, 12 point ARP intake bolts, etc. Then the FUN starts!

That will look great on the ford motor. I will be interested to see how that tunnel ram works on the street. Did you change your front spring perch to change the look of your car with the jag rear end or for a safety reason.

I moved the spring from 'on top' of the perch to 'under' ... took three of the springs out and made about an inch and a half spacer between the bottom of the perch and the top spring. I did this more for front end\oil pan clearance than anything else.

I run a single quad tunnel ram on my bucket and love it. Great street manners. Took a little tuning on the accelerator pump shot but it is dialed in nicely, never a hiccup and very good throttle response too.

sounds nice milt.. it'll look great and hopefully runs that well too.. when i built a tri-power tunnel it out performed anything i had before, but turning was a major problem. sold it.. get your tunnel done the only thing left is paint..
may i suggest RED.. have fun..

Just pulled a edelbrock SBC 7110 tunnel ram & 2 holly 450 's off my C-Cab. Run like crazy after it hit 3000 rpm but did not cruise worth beans. Maybe someone else will have better luck with it, going on Craigs list next week, scoop, linkage and all.
