Depot hack's new home

Post by Bill Cleveland »

Cecil Misner posts on fb: "An open letter to Mike and Dottie Blanche.
Tomorrow you will be in Lebanon, Oregon to pick up my wooden T bucket. I started this build with 44 feet of steel box tubing and a quantity 3/8 inch flat plate. Some of the parts were sourced from NTBA members. The front axle from Gordon Hoy. Radiator shell from Doug Mager, instruments and front cowl from Bob Chester, TH400 transmission from Chris Ward. Ford 9 inch rear end from Russ Griffin. The first engine came from my old Chevy pickup. The car was wired and painted by Chris Bostick. Encouragement from many people within the NTBA. Since the car was built, I have experienced several life events from divorce, marriage, bad health events, relocation from Washington to Oregon. It is the health events that prompted the sale. I have driven the car upwards of 60,000 miles. My greatest hope is, Mike and Dottie, will put their touches on it and continue Stale Perfume's life. It has been a wonderful period of my life, I love the wooden old bag! I am sad.
Cecil Misner, I99-026"

Ceeeec . . . you are da' man! I still remember a seminar you gave at the Hannibal Nats (2001) on "Safety Wiring" nuts and bolts, and how your military background played into that. The phrase 'unplanned maintenance events' stuck in my head! 😂 Ride on, my friend. Spanky, I99-036.

Another memory . . . you made a billet fuel pump block off plate for me, which adorns my Chevy 350 small block today!
