Re: Merry Christmas - 2013 is Just WEEK AWAY!!
Dale, I am guessing you folks had your Christmas Party / Feast
! I hope all are well and had a safe and joyous holiday. I am REALLY looking forward to 2013 and the many events that will be taking place this next year. Nats will be a BLAST and as of this time there are over 40 people registered. I know Gilbert and his crew are planning an action packed week of fun and cruises. The Gold Dust is fully booked however the back up hotels still has rooms available and there is still plenty of RV parking.
Be watching the boards for information on a number of "REGIONAL Events" that will be happening this next year. Some are still in the works for both 2013 and even 2014 at this time!!
Be safe and Have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Re: Merry Christmas
Rolla,
Let me get this straight, you already have over 40 people registered( this would be how many....41,42, 43????) and the Gold Dust Hotel is already full??? What is their capacity, just "over 40?"
Where are the Nats in 2014? C'mon, you already let it out of the bag, may as well inform us where it's going to be so that those of us not being able to attend the 2013 can maybe plan for the Nats in 2014.

Re: Merry Christmas
There are over 40 registered and 97 current registrations at the Gold Dust. Not sure how many rooms, didn't set it up but the information has been out here for quite some time!!! Those who snooze lose. There are other options for rooms also. The numbers change daily, and I think we are at 44 as of this exact very minute, but that might have changed too.....

Re: Merry Christmas
I know a lot of folks booked their rooms immediately after the location was announced in Chatt. I know I did! That was long before registration for the event was set up. I have to admit, I have not registered yet (for the event) myself. I'll bet that is the reason for the difference between booked rooms and actual event registrations. There is no penalty for reserving a room if you cancel according to the hotel's terms. I know several people who booked rooms but have not decided for sure whether they are going. They just wanted to keep their options open.

Re: Merry Christmas
Luggy they told that the Nationals would be in Chatanooga way before the Nationals in Dayton and it didn't hurt the attendance in Dayton or if it did Dayton would have been the biggest Nats ever because it had a very respectable turn out. I don't see any problem with anouncing 2014 as soon as the contracts are signed. This helps people make long term plans like weddings and such on dates that don't interfere with the Nats. Just my opinion and everybody knows that opinions are like some other things almost everybody has one.

Re: Merry Christmas
Also since I am on my soap box Most of you don't realize that if you register early it allows the people planning the Nats a chance to go to local businesses and Officials to justify more goodies and freebies for us and we all like more freebies and VIP Treatment. So get off your duff and Register if you plan to go to Carson City
