Ode To 'T' Kloss 2001

Well, it doesn't seem possible that a year has past,
Since I talked to Sam T Kloss, time moves so fast!
With all the things I've tried to get done,
It's kept the Pups and me on a continual run,

Bucketheads, I'm sad to report the following news to you,
It's left the Pups and me in a terrible stew!
With tractor parts piled up as high as the knee,
I couldn't get the T out for the life of me!
So, that's meant NO cruzin' for us, don't you see?
We couldn't go lookin' for the Sam Kloss T!
Another occurrence compounded the problem as it came to be,
We left for the Hill Country early, and unexpectedly,
To show an eighth inch model, I made from a tree,
To the metal 'building guy', for a design upon which to agree.

When he saw the model, he almost 'flipped out',
He wanted to keep it there at Hershfeld, to show about!
I said I wanted to keep the model with me,
So, I took some 'digi' pics and left them with him to see,
Where the door and window placements might be.

With that done, I sit here doin' a little cookin' for my brother and his wife,
So they won't have as much to do after each day's business strife.
And I keep wondering about the Sam T Kloss visits within the last two years,
Realizing that I won't be there this time, if once again he appears!

So, before we left home, I tried to think of some way,
That I might compose a message that would surely relay,
The coordinates for locating me next year, on this day!
Which should lead him to Kingsland, where I will likely stay.

The night before we left, the Pups and me got into our truck,
And headed for the T Kloss parking lot, wishing for luck.
Hoping he'd choose the same parking lot three years in a row,
We arrived with the message and pondered a place for it's stow,
Where Kloss could find it, but no one else would know,
That way, next year, up in Kingsland, Texas, he might show.
We won't know till next year, if he pre-visited, leaving the North Pole snow,
I tell you, if he didn't find that message, it will be quite a blow!


But, somehow I suspicion that he is already aware,
That, in Kingsland, he will find us there.
Just as we're certain about all the Bucketheads here,
Whether you've moved in the last year or not, he'll find you with his cheer.

I'm guessing that he got his wish, and will call only on the NTBA.
That's gonna keep him busy all along the way.
Besides the entire USA, he'll have everyone up North with Fitzee,
And down under with Aussie and pals whose T's are nothin' short of 'Ritzee'.
There's Albert-John in South Africa and in Japan there's Sota,
Man! This guy Sam T. Kloss, does he ever have a quota?

I think, had I met him again this year,
He would have asked me those questions, which were most sincere.
About how the NTBA was doin' with Faith, Hope and Charity.
And my answer would have been, "Marvelously!"

He might also have mentioned 'Grace and Mercy' as he did last year,
And that those were given to all by our Lord, which includes our Bucketheads here.
I would have answered that I think most are aware of the price he paid,
And the magnitude of the consequence, which was, at his feet laid!

So, I'll close with the quote of, "Remember the reason for the season!"
Many beautiful thought's occur each year so, reach out and 'seize-um'!
And, from here in the Texas Hill Country, from Ginger, Blanca and me,
We wish YA'LL a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year with your T!
