Mufflers

I have been to a couple of the t bucket events and several of them sound really good almost like they do not have mufflers Is everyone running mufflers or are some people just running the pipes without them?

I know quite a few that simply remove the mufflers or baffles inside their pipes, and just let 'm roar. I use "shorty" turnouts with a 7" muffler insert tucked inside the collector. Has a pretty loud sound, and a nice roar under full throttle, but not so much as straight pipes.

Thanks for the feedback and pic. I had not seen a turn out that short. I am hoping by the first of the year I am ready to start mine up.

Hey, Jgard - Where do you live? Did we meet in Indy?

I live south of St. Louis. I went to Indy the last 2 years. Met a lot of nice folks and got a lot of good ideas. I am about to finish up my wiring and have to say I have not enjoyed the electrical part. Hopefully by spring I have it ready for a trial run gonna drive it unpainted for six months or so if all is good in time for paint.
