Engine turn firewall question

Post by frank_a »

I have some 1/8" aluminum plate I would like to engine turn for my firewall. I bought a cheap harbor freight bench mount drill press to use for this job, but am having a hard time imagining how to set it up so it has a deep enough neck to get at least 60% before I turn it 180 degrees.

I know other members have done this. Any pics and/or help setting it up?

Thanks!

Frank there is video of my operation on this website. Chapters and then New Mexico then put video in the search box and then look for the "new yelot" again. A video will come up that will show you how I did mine. Try it you will like it.
