Just wondering if anyone came across this.. Im replacing the rotors on my wire wheels and find the the center hole in the rotors are beveled... I' checked around and nobody seems to have seen anything like this. The wheels are Hallcraft and the calipers are Airheart 150 series.
Thanks Bob

Re: Wire Wheel Brake Rotors
Bob, I used to run those same wheels and rotors a few years back. Mine were also slightly beveled but I never really thought anything about it. Speedway was carrying replacement rotors but not sure if they still do or not.

Re: Wire Wheel Brake Rotors
I have a set of Hallcraft wire wheels and a new set of rotors. As soon as the sun comes up I'll checkem out and let you know what I find. I purchased the rotors from Speedway a couple of years ago, never been used------yet.

Thanks Guys,
I've checked with Speedway and a bunch of others and it seems that nobody knows what I'm talking about. I guess I'll have to modify .

The center hole in my new rotors is NOT beveled. I purchased these rotors about three years ago and they are still in the plastic wrap.

Thanks Al,
I guess the beveled ones are not available any longer, another thing of the past. So I'll just modify the new ones to fit.

My first t-bucket had that set-up and as I recall, the center hole of the rotor was beveled and I believe the reason for this is the way it mounted onto the spindle. Ya know, the best thing to do BEFORE you go modifying anything...especially on those brakes...is to post photos of the issue at hand...show them to us and then you could also get a hold of Brian at Speedway and send the photos to him.
Just a friendly suggestion.

p.s. Shortly after about one year, I got rid of the skinny wire wheels and goofy brakes. I always felt it unsafe with those skinny wheels/tires and the weight placed upon them. Looks neat, but quite a hassle in my book...especially dealing with the spokes.
