After we installed the set up on Deans car they called a few weeks later to make sure everything went well and check on its performance.

It is mounted in black on the inside of the frame rail in front of the rear end behind the brake pedal. I'm pretty excited to see this tunnel ram set up they have It gives me peace of mind knowing some folks have used them and had very good luck. I appreciate all the information I've already gotten on this website.

well info is one thing you will defantly get a lot of from this group and most of it is great! i have enjoyed this group and tell everyone i know that has a T they should join, and thats one of the main reasons. A lot of members (and they know who they are LOL) have helped me tremendously, and my car will soon be on the road thanks to them. Of course being the hard head i am, i listened to some and some i didnt, we will see if my car falls apart or if i can enjoy it for yrs to come LOL. Thanks again guys!

Yes I am new to this and just about have my rolling chassis done. I have already had several questions answered and sure do appreciate all the help I have received on here. I went down to Indianapolis last week and met some very nice folks and saw some good looking cars.
I am running a 350 turbo transmission. Does anyone have any suggestions on the type of shifter to go with. Is it better to bolt directly to the transmission or to the floor?

There are so many options when it comes to shifters. Two factors you need to decide is look and price. Once you know the look you want and the price you want to spend you can narrow down the options. Lokar has a couple of different options that can mount to either the floor or tranny. You can also get cable or rod linkage type. There are many in Jegs and Summit that can also work. Probably not much help but those are the things to consider.

I believe with the combination that you stated, a 3000 is a good starting place. I guess the question I have is what are the plans for the car - tunnel ram, dual 4's and solid cam sounds like some drag racing action. With a 3.70 rear and and a stock geared TH350 you are looking at a 9.17 first gear situation, with the weight of a T-Bucket, it's going to move pretty hard. The numbers on the cam should come on about 2700-3000 but the tunnel ram might cause a bit of sluggishness so I would stay on the higher side of that 3000 stall convertor - might even be happier with a 3500.
Unless there are physical issues, I am not too sure of the power brake deal. It wouldn't be my choice and getting them to operate properly with the cam selection is going to probably require some type of vacuum assistance. And you always have the space limitations with a 'bucket so there is that to deal with as well.
If this is going to live on the street, take a look at vacuum secondary carbs instead of mechanical 4 barrels - you'll be a lot happier.
Sounds like a fun project - have fun!
