The NTBA Tech Pages look like they limited to only one author. That's only one author's experiences, ability to learn, available time, and style of explanation.
I'm not for or against Webmistress - she's probably wonderful. But no one can be better than everyone combined.
Why is Webmistress the only author in the NTBA Tech Pages?

She is not the author - the tech pages are from the old web site and she moved them to this site when it was set up.

Ted I am disappointed all this time I thought you were married to the worlds smartest Street Rodder, now I find out she is only a computer genius
Tell her we said hi. You two are doing a great job.
Been there, done that, hope to live long enough to do it all again.

Re: Why is Webmistress the only author in the NTBA Tech Page
This is an issue I have been concerned about ever since the "new format" for this board was released.
If any one of the original authors of any of these Tech Pieces were to claim plagiarism they would most likely have a very good case. Simply put, these articles are published and someone, other than the originator, is taking claim for their content.
Historically, this has been very loosely interpreted by the courts (including the US Supreme Court) as theft. And, the punishments can be VERY ---shall we say---"attention getting". Per guidance and legal advice that I have received in the past for published writings of my own, the "claiming author" and "reviewing staff - editors" (in this case the officers of the NTBA) could be held responsible.
Further adding to my concern is that within the history of this organization there are authors of articles that may have a desire (and a legal right) to make this claim. In other words "a bone to pick".
Would someone actually make this move? Not my call, that is up to the officers of the NTBA
To eliminate this exposure all that has to be done is give credit where credit is due.

Actually in each post the original author is given credit where it was known. Webmistress is just the one that uploaded the content, just like I assume Lee uploads the news letter and the Nat's info....although he did not write it.... Ted

This analogy is like the mailman delivers the mail even though he had no involvement in its content. He, like Lee, is just the delivery person.
Please Ted, do not take this as a challenge or negative criticism, I am interested in protecting your wife and the officers from a possibly difficult situation.
Believe me, I appreciate all the work you and your wife have done. As I said in my post, I have been counseled on this subject (twice a year for about 14 years!). It is easy to avoid but a real PIA if the laws are not followed!
