accel coil

hi everyone
my ? is I have a accel super ccoil from my old chevelle and was thinking about using it on the T . just hanging there on wall for last 20 years. how do I determine if it is still any good? I work in a woodshop during day and a cleaner part time/ lots of time to think and I have very little hearing left/ really quiet world

if it's for a chebby u will most likely have some ohms reading between the small post.. like 10 ohms i think. if it were for a ford the ohms will be almost zero thereby needing a ballast resistor. let me add , that if u are using this coil on a dizzy that HAD points and not u are using pertronix or other eliminator then find the directions and read the coil part..
