Electric shifter

Any one have or heard of a push button electric shifter that would work with a TH400, Just doing a little brain storming while down here on the ice.

A couple years ago there was a company that offered an electronic shifter...price was holding me back...about $600.00; well that AND the fact that it was electronic. Rates right up there with the electric fuel pump in my opinion. If it goes out, you will be stuck where ever you are. When I had my first t-bucket, it came with an electric fuel pump...I went out the next day and bought a back-up just because I didn't want to get in the situation that I could not get back home.

Make mine mechanical thank you very much. I run a mechanical fuel pump and shifter. But THIS is only MY opinion and desire.

A linear actuator made by Firgelli moves the tranny shift arm. I made the arm from a piece of scrap aluminum, and bent a L bracket to mount the actuator to a tranny pan bolt. The actuator responds to a voltage to position it, so I made a little box with potentiometers for each gear, and a box with a selector knob for the dash. I'll make a drawing with more detail and post it. You can go to the Firgelli website for more info on their products. The whole thing cost about $150. Does Picasa have img code for your pictures? If so, use that code.
