Spirit body on a Speedway frame.

I just received my Speedway 23 Nostalgia T frame and am wondering if I am going to encounter problems with fitment of the Deluxe 23 T Bucket body from Spirit Industries and if so what sort of problems?

I am sure it can be MADE to work. My first concern would be the width of the bottom of the body compared to the width of the frame. If the body is wider than the frame you should be "good to go" ----If the frame is wider than the body----have a cold one and do some thinking-----------------

u can call spirit and ask for the measurement at the firewall inside the body.. and on the frame u'd be about 3 1/2ft back from the nose.. hopefully the frame is smaller.. but the kick-up will really tell u where the body gets mounted. u want it at your butt going up your back. something like 2" play is better.

I have a Spirit body and it is designed to fit frame rails no wider than 26-1/2" outside dimen.
If the speedway frame rails are narrower than this then it might interfere with the under floor battery box, but that is minor. I don't see you having a problem with making it work. I would weld some mounting tabs on the frame so you can bolt the body down instead of using those speedway mounts.

There is nothing that can't be fixed with a welder, saws-all. duct tape, and bailing wire.( and a whole lot of imagination and fiberglass!! )

OK Ya'll, the answer to my own question is, "NO, a Spirit Body Will NOT fit on a Speedway Frame." Not with out modification anyway. A weeks work and $700. later and the body fits like a glove.
The body at the back kick up area was too long so I had two three inch by eight inch channels put in and remounted the bed four inches higher on the body.
I tried to load pictures but the files are too large, sorry

Sounds like to me you bought an extended body then. otherwise you shouldn't of had to channel the rear of the body over the kickup like that. I can see the bed needing to be higher though because of the high kickup on the frame to get the car lower.
