Shreveport Red River Reunion

Post by Milt Atkinson »

Very good T-Bucket showing … I think I counted 14 Ts … Lee Metcalf won the long distance award coming in from Kansas City. There were about 126 cars in total at the Red River Hot Rod reunion and the casino gods were good to me this time.

The Red River group collected over $3100 for their favor charity and it was a very good time … those that didn’t make it, should plan on next year … it will even be better.

Milt, I am glad you had a strong showing of T's and the event was successful for the charity involved. We really missed being there and hope to be able to come next year!! See you in Carson City.

What a great event! Jim and Mary (Tolbert) and the Red River crew did an outstanding job of organizing and managing the event. One of the best I've ever been to. As Milt said, Ann and I won the long distance award... 547 miles one way!! Lookiing forward to it next year (not the drive, the SHOW!).

Just want to make a couple of updates to Milt's figures as we are extremely proud of the new records we set. Registered cars was 129 with about 25 club cars(we don't reg). Total amount donated to the Shreveport-Bossier Rescue Mission was>>>>$8700.00<<<<<<. Busted last years amount by $5000.00. Thanks to all our buckethead friends who continually support our show and would love to have even more next year.

We sure missed you this year. We had a great buckethead dinner Sat. evening at Joe's Crab Shack in the Boardwalk. Will be looking for you next year and we'll be up your way in 35 days.
