Mount Rainer run
How far (nice round figures not exact) would it be from the hotel to Mount Rainer and are the roads any good? Also could you guarantee no rain on that run if we did it early in the week? How's that for a lot of questions. Me and SST don't plan on sitting still.

Re: Mount Rainer run
The run to Mt Rainer is about 200 miles round trip. If you just go the summit of Chinook pass it is a lot less. I'll get a firm answer for you and post.
I abandon the trip to Mt St Helens and the volcano field also because if distance.

Hello Uncle Larry, Please search for Packwood, WA. If you still want to go, I'll set it up. It is spectacular! It is about 104 miles each way.

On-line it sounds like Sunrise side of the mountain would be better for us. You might know the place better than us though. How come Whistlin Jack's was eliminated? Just curious

Re: Mount Rainer run
Whistlin' Jacks was eliminated because they couldn't accommodate us from the menu. They wanted to serve us banquet style. They also wanted a signed contract for 150 people.

Good reason to eliminate Whistlin Jacks. Makes sense. Can't guarantee things like that. Bye the way I'm going to win the Moustache contest , so you might as well give up now. I plan on just pulling my beard up around my lips!!!

Re: Mount Rainer run
I had been thinking about trying it on monday if everything works out. We could try Sunrise side on monday and go back to the Paradise side on tuesday if we wanted too. All the pictures on the live web cams look beautiful. Internet says road construction delays on the Paradise side might interfere but we can handle that. Ceec absolutely guarantees no rain . Mountain must be beautiful so I want to take in as much of it as possible. We could also wait till some more people get into town then try the second run on wednesday. Sorry Ceec don't mean to be stepping on your toes. Hows that sound Windy.
