Pigeon Forge

Post by Lou Sauer »

We had a great time at Pigeon Forge and hope it will be scheduled again next year. A small group of us ran the Tail of the Dragon and it was a great trip - one more item to cross off the bucket list. Ron Pope and his family worked very hard to make this event successful and we thank them for everything they did. Ron followed us on the cruises with his truck and trailer in case of any breakdowns and fortunately there were none. We enjoyed the time with the bucketheads we knew from NTBA and some locals.

Lou, sorry we missed it but we were in Green Bay setting up the Nats for next year! You won't want to miss it :D I called Ron early Sunday morning as I was driving back from GB to see how everything went and he said everyone had a great time and no issues! That is what we strive for at all of our events. I talked with Ron this morning and I think the date and location may change just a little but we will be back in TN next year :)

Yeah!! We had a great time in Pigeon Forge. Great group of people, some we met for the first time and some we had met from previous events and never laughed so hard in a very long time. And we want to encourage Lou that if he has concerns for "snow" in July, Denis has offered to furnish snow chains for his tires for his trip to Green Bay.
We have made our reservations and look forward to seeing everyone. And to Rolla , while in TN we found an I-Hop
closer than 9 miles. :)

Denis, If Rolla keeps eating at the I-Hop, he won't be able to hop to all the events planned!!
And 9 miles aint nothing compared to getting there, especially in the RAIN not SNOW!!

Dennis,
We appreciate your offer to furnish chains but hopefully they won't be needed. I learned about chains by growing up in Denver and living in Minnesota for a couple of years and have no desire to put that experience to use ever again. We would rather have you offer to pay for the gas we will burn for the very long haul but know that won't happen. I am not worried about the snow but it can get cold in the North even in July and Bruce may be right about the rain. We haven't made reservations yet but haven't ruled it out yet.
