Name tags are really not that hard to do Isaac........You need to get someone to just sit in a spot at the hotel/parking lot, Not all day, but just for a small time period to check anyone in and make a name tag out for the visitors...Maybe the first two days of your event..........No I am not volunteering........You can get a set up at the local office supply store with pin backs or just stick on tags, the KISS method comes to mind here..........
We do it a lot different at the Nationals but there are usually many more cars/people than will be in BR....(I know you want 100 buckets but lets be realistic here and hope for 20 or 30 as a great turn out).......You can talk to Spark Plug (I think we had 22 in Ocala two years ago) or Bruce about past Fun Runs........From the Artesia Fun Run experience we do not have name tags or other things But we do have a spot to gather and visit/meet new folks, and that will work fine in the parking lot at the hotel so again keep it simple.......
Mike............

Isaac, Mike always has the experience from past meets that makes sense.
And good ideas to keep is simple.
I'll bring my own name tag, one on the front and one on the back. KISS.
We're quite certain there will be 4 of us coming in with Mike from Artesia. I would hope there will be many many more from the midwest, west and east of you.
Dedication to T's is not all it takes,
I keep forgetting there are a lot of folks that still punch a time clock.
Makes for difficult planning, and the T must take up second position on the list.
But life is grand, let's live it well

Hey Mike, the turn out is shaping up to be great, we have quite a few already registered at hotel with a lot that i know are coming that havent registered, yet, i live by the KISS method, i will keep it simple, i remember Ocala, that was my first event and i didnt even have my kit ordered yet lol. im having some goody bags made up and when a person checks in at hotel they will be given a bag, i will probably put the name tag in the bag, and each person can fill out their name and start wearing it. very simple, and i may have someone there to get people registered, i dont want it to be like a "regular car show" with that type of registration but for my personal use to keep up with people for future events, i would like ot know where people are from, and a little bit about thier car, figure it would b nice to have. i may have a short registration form to fill out, nothing major. well keep the ideas coming guys, i appreciate each and everyone of them. this is my first shot at planning one of these. i mentioned to Rolla after ocala, that why dont they have any closer to the south, i had to drive 9 hrs just to go to a event, he said "host it, we will help" im like well, OK and so plans were started and im looking forward to it. have great events planned and lots of good cruises and fun times,
thanks,
isaac

I agree with the KISS principle, especially for the regional events. We were at Ocala and had a great time. The regionals do give attendees a chance to get to know each other and meet bucketheads who may not attend the NATS.

Re: NTBA CAJUN REGIONALS, Baton Rouge, La.
good morning guys and girls, hope everyone is thinking about coming to the 2016 NTBA CAJUN REGIONALS here in baton rouge, i am doing my best to plan a great time for everyone. For those of you who dont know this about me, i am a retired prof photographer. On one of our rides, i am planning a stop at a nice place with a great background showing off that we are in Louisiana and i will be taking a couple shots of each car. You can either stay in your car, stand next to it, or just hop out for the pict (after putting it in park first LOL). Just wanted to let you know so u can make sure your car is nice and clean LOL
Dont forget the hotel is pet friendly, so if u have a little or big critter, they are welcome!
If anyone has any questions feel free to send me a note and ask. thanks
looking forward to making our first cajun regional a great success, hope to meet a lot of you there.

Hey there Isaac - - - sounds to me as if you are doing a bang up job and covering all the basics for us. I wish to extend my thanks to you, takes a bunch of time and brain storming to make this work. A KUDO for you

Good evening boys and girls, just a reminder for anyone coming to the CAJUN REGIONALS and not staying in the hotel. i am having goody bags made up with lots of nice stuff in them, the hotel will be passing them out as guest check in. So for the ones of you who are staying in RVs or with friends, please make sure you get with me to get your goody bag. especially if your coming in early, there will b all sorts of flyers or pamplets about things to do, places to see, etc. Cant wait to meet everyone and this will be an exciting weekend for me. This is the first time i tried to put something like this together and to see the response, just makes me feel great, cant wait, thanks and im looking forward to some great cruising and lots of fun. dont forget to bring your appetite LOL dont forget, if u have your own personal name tag, bring it, my memory is horrible, lol thanks

So far, waiting for our departure on 31st of March is the toughest part of this trip

Of course, $7 prime rib in Mesquite may have some bearing on it too
