Al Conn's '23 T parked next to me & the pups. I've always loved this car. After talking to Al I have an even grater appreciation for it when he showed me all the additional work he has done on it including making all the fenders. You're toooo much Al.

What is the story on Al's ride? Looks like a 392 hemi with spark plug wire covers. Can you or he add to this? I like the running board box, can never have enough places for tools and parts for our rides.

I'm sorry Bob but that was one thing I didn't ask about. I'll try to remember what I asked. 1) He said the body was fiberglass & that he had reworked just about everything; 2) He made all the fenders from scratch; 3) He raised the back rest up quite a bit, to me it looks higher than a '15's back; 3) He made the bed & tailgate from scratch & did the woodwork; 4) I think he said the paint was Spies/Heckler? & had been applied a long time ago-it was flawless. My memory is failing me because it seems that he told more that I'm not recalling. I didn't ask about the toolbox on the running board. I have another pic showing the dash (I think?), I'll post it for you.

I just love his wheels. Cragar SST, getting real rare. Thats what are on mine.

Bob Al's car was built in the early 70s, if you study the picture you will notice the radiator shell is thicker than stock then notice the fan is totally enclosed. Next check out the molded in distributor cover, also the heat sheilds to keep the paint from burning. Then the fenders, and the tool boxes on both sides are hand made. the entire bed including an opening tailgate with invisible latches was hand made. This is just the easy things to see. This car ran a blower until four years ago when he got tired of listening to my other half gripe about the noise when they were following us, also Al decided he would tame it down a little and maybe get better gas mileage. It will still break 100 in the quarter. He is talking about a repaint as he doesn't think it shines like it once did, but he wants to finish his other T with the Blown hemi first.
