LOL LOL I know MIke, I had to find some way to take attention from my spelling error, calling Angel a piece of steel was an Opps! Don't you know I would have much rather been in Indy, even with the rain! See you two in Tucson in November, right????? And have a great time next month in Artesia, and we will expect to see some pix :)! :)! :)! :)! :)! :)! :)!

OK folks here is the tentative itinerary for the Artesia Fun Run that will be the 16th and the 17th Sept......... :)! :)! :)! Come on lets have some fun......Just remember the Oil Patch is way down so there are no sponsors at this time,,    so we will just have fun cruising in Southeastern New Mexico......

For the early arrivals we will do something, maybe just bench-race a little......

On Thursday the 15th we will cruise South to Carlsbad and the Living Desert State park for a tour...It is 5 bucks a head but it is well worth the time and cost....We will have about 2 hours to tour Exhibits, then we will go back into town for a Double Meat with Green Chili Hamburger, well you don't have to eat what I eat but it is there. After that we will go downtown to the Car Museum and then Ice Cream on the way back to Artesia...............Supper if you're still hungry there will be Mexican Food at La Herradura (The Horseshoe) in Artesia....

On Friday the 16th we will cruise North to the Alien Museum in downtown Roswell NM. There will be about 2 hours to tour the Museum another 5 bucks a head. After that we will cruise the back way to Lunch in Hagerman NM, Piccolinos (Italian)...after that it is back to Artesia and about 3:00 PM we will be staging for the Homecoming Parade that goes off at 4:00 PM, It is quite a site for sure.....At 5:30 PM we will do a cruise to a little town called Loco Hills NM for some pretty good BBQ...... :)! :)! :)! :)!

Saturday 17th we will cruise to the Mountains West of town 92 miles to Cloudcroft NM for shopping and site seeing......About two hours for that and then back down the mountain on the back side of the valley to Mayhill NM for a Show & Shine along with Lunch...after lunch we can shoot the breeze or go home cause that is it.......

Rough count on miles for the whole Fun Run will be about 450 miles total and we would love to share it with you... :)! :)! :)!

For us "first-timers" going on this run to Artesia, what is the hotel to book reservations?

Well we have many but most folks are staying at the Artesia Inn on the south side of town and it also may cost the least.....Call them at 575-748-980.

There is no room rate deal...we live in the Oil Patch and they don't seem to worry about having a vacancy at the motel.......there are several other hotels in town..The Comfort Inn would be my next choice.....Come on down and we will try to help you enjoy yourselves......

Mike & Angel with Peggy Sue.......
