Re: NTBA CAJUN REGIONALS, Baton Rouge, La.
Good morning guys and girls, just a few short notes about the CAJUN REGIONALS! April 7-10, 2016! Baton Rouge, La. please remember if you have a hobby, BRING IT! if u make or race RC cars, planes, bring them, show them. if you build anything, make anything, draw anything, whatever your hobby is, we want to hear about it, lets get to know our NTBA family, what they do outside of the cars. I just want to let everyone know the cost of the extra things we will be doing, I wanted everyone to be aware so you can prepare. The go kart racing will cost $ 10.00 per race, its a lot of fun and you may get worn out after one LOL,The owner of the track is looking forward to us parking our Ts in his lot. We will be going on a swamp tour, the price for this is roughly $20 per person, this price may go down with the size of our group, i'm still negotiating, i've been told its about 1.5-2 hrs, I think everyone will enjoy it, for those who dont want to go, there are things to do around the landing, if you want to wait for us to come back. We will tour one of the Southern Plantations, "The Myrtles" the tour will cost about $10 per person. For those who come in early and want to go, on wed night the casino here has an awesome buffet, the cost is $30 but if we are lucky it will be the seafood buffet and its AWESOME! Some of the ladies (or men) may want to play slots or have fun in the casino. There will be plenty of other options if you do not want to go to the casino. My son and I have spoken to the Valet people and they will let us park the Ts up on the main entrance where people can see them, a few dollars for the Valet would be a good jester! On thur night you will be in for a treat. If you have never seen it done before, I have a friend who will be cooking home made Jambalaya in a huge black iron pot, it will be awesome! Very Delicious and will not cost us anything.(bring your folding chars) I have picked two of the best cajun/southern style restaurants, I believe you can view them on line if you want to look at menu's and get prices. One is called "Sammies" and the other is "Mike Andersons" both GREAT Food. These Restaurants will be our fri and sat night meals. I will prepare a list of few other places for those who come early or stay late and may want to go out to eat. I will have a truck pulling a trailer with emergency items in it in case anyone needs repair or has a break down. Well folks, thats about all the little reminders I have, am looking forward to a awesome REGIONAL with lots of nice cars and great people to visit with. I hope to see and meet a all of you, remember to book your room early. We have a great hotel, they love car people. Thanks, Isaac

Its great seeing so many of you making plans to come to the Cajun Regional, I am very excited, especially since its the first event I put on, I am thrilled at the response. At the current time I do not have any formal plans made for anyone coming early, other than getting together and meeting everyone and going for some rides. I will have a good bag for each person, and one of the things in the bag, is a Tour Guide type magazine, it has coupons and flyers for all types of things to see and do in Louisiana. Im gonna make a list of restaurants you may want to go eat at, and a few things you may want to do. Baton Rouge is only a hour away from new orleans if anyone wants to make a road trip, lots of stuff to do, Thanks again and I cant wait to meet everyone.

Issac you are worrying way to much......All of us that show up early are "very grown" up bucketheads and can take good care of ourselfs..........You have a great fun run planned for the two days that are the "Official" dates on Thursday evening, Friday & Saturday the rest of our time spent in BR is our responsibly....Chill out and get your car done......
Lyle I see that no one wants to run with you or us on the way to BR so we will just have FUN by our own self's.........

hmmmm, Point taken Mike
Maybe we should take an extra day getting across Texas
I hear there a couple of counties on the way that are not DRY

New Orleans -ahhhhhh- spent many fine days there in '66. But it just ain't the same
We'd have to hire Guards to watch over the cars

Spanky
Not a reason in the world you can't join us

Isaac - - is it oyster time early April
