Hey Spanky. Not much to report here. Still making plans, gathering info, and most importantly... saving $$$. I can't actually start a build or even start buying parts until I have a confirmed new apartment and a place to work. This could be a few weeks or a few months.
Also, I've had back issues (again) so I've been taking things real easy.

As soon as things start happening this forum will certainly know about it.

Thanks for your interest in getting the Arizona chapter active again. This must (will) be done.

I hear ya' on all counts! Took me a long time to gather parts/ $$ and finally get mine going. Got 'lost' a couple times along the way, but now it's on the road!

Idea: is there a T in our members pics page (Main Site page under 'Who's who' - takes awhile to load 'em all) that looks like one you will build? If so, copy it and post it here with an explanation.

Got new apartment with a garage. Will be moving in June 1st. T build should commence shortly after, with a few provisos.

Where do I start?
1) The garage I will have is wired for 110v only, and shares a common breaker with 5 other garages. Why is this an issue? Makes using a welder difficult to impossible.
2) Until I check it out further I have to assume that I will not be able to weld, therefore I'd have to buy a pre welded "Clone" or "cookie cutter" Kit car frame. No choice but to use that suppliers stock suspension / steering components. No chance to do it "My Way".
3) If I wanted a car just like everyone else's I'd buy a Prius. (No I wouldn't but you get my point)
4) The cost of moving has blown way out to 4 times what was calculated. Simply because my helper has decided not to help. Therefore, all money saved for the T Bucket has suddenly been re-allocated.

I feel your pain, as one whose project took 15 years to complete! Don't give up!!!

All my welding was done OPG (other peoples garages) since I have the same issue with no 220 in my garage. In the 'dry' years, I simply planned for how I wanted my bucket to look, even paint color, etc. I gathered parts as budget would allow, and scanned ebay and other venues for 'deals' and kept dreaming. Also, this organization is a great resource - I'll bet Shank will lend a hand if you ask him. Mine could not have been completed without help from my St Louis chapter members, especially Bill Parisho. To quote Winston Churchill, "Never, never, never, never, never, never, never . . . give up!!!"
