Re: NTBA CAJUN REGIONALS, Baton Rouge, La.
Mike, not worried, just want to have fun and give everyone some ideas. i plan on taking as much time off that week as possible so i will be around to have fun with you guys, i mean really mike, come on, if a few of you are here and having fun, i'd like to have fun with y'all. i was going to plan a trip to new orleans, but i couldnt do everything in one weekend. however if any of you want to make a trip to new orleans early i can work it out where we dont have to worry about our cars, the Harris Casino in new orleans is perfect, it is a 5 minute walk from the french quarter, they have valet parking, and i know we r not letting them drive our cars but i have spoken to the valet manager and if we have a few cars, they will let us park them together in the valet parking lot, all of which is under constant survelience with security. (just a thought) of course we would have to tip well LOL if you dont want to bring the cars, we could always take a road trip in the trucks and go have fun.

NOW that Casino sounds good, even tho I won't have a truck there
Security for the cars was my prime concern in New Orleans.
Wadadya think Mike - - drive the T's to do the French Quarter

Well guys, if u go to new orleans, i would love to go but i can tell u about driving in the quarter, they got some pretty bad roads that are hard on regular cars, if you dont have much ground clearance it could b a bad idea. but the casino is only walking distance from quarter, and the restaurants, are super, sites are wild and it could b a lot of fun.

New Orleans would be a neat cruise But I am going to Baton Rough to see that part of Louisiana. I would rather cruise around the town and countyrside rather that just go to NO just so I can say I was there......
Looking at the google maps there are many things to see & do without going to NO......
That is just my thoughts.........I bet that before we know it the week will be done and we have not even turned around twice.....
Between cruising & eating we will be very busy, just going to see the water and the swamps, the old houses and downtown Baton Rough.....Isaac you live there and see it every day but we will see the area with new eyes......So if you want to take some folks to NO that is OK with Angel & I but we will be looking around your town.....OK?...........

hmmm, OMG - - that makes sense to me.
New Orleans for me is a fond memory of '66. As I think about it, leaving it as such will serve me MUCH better.
Thats one fantastic thought to do Baton Rouge and the area. We thought the folks in Tucson did a great job of guiding us around the area, so having a local resident point us in the same manner is a big plus

Mike, you be the MAN!

We plan on following you and Angel all the way from Artesia, so watching your backside will be a habit by then

Re: NTBA CAJUN REGIONALS, Baton Rouge, La.
Personally i would like name tags, even if they are the paper kind, i dont know everyone and i would like to call people by their name. Mike, totally understand, i just spoke to a lady today from our convention and visitor bureau, i allready have a book on places to go but she is putting together a nice package, with maps, flyers, places to see, etc, if u want to stay busy, you can, maybe we can just go for a ice cream run or a waffle house run at night. i have a few friends that have never seen T buckets, they go to waffle house every night, i would love ot have a group of us go rumbling up for coffee,
but it would b late at night, i dont know how late you guys stay up. as of now, i have certain things planned and will have nice breaks during the day, other than the planned activities, im all open for ideas, and suggestions. yall have been to more ntba events than i have, im learning here. cant wait to see all the people and cars, thanks again.

I'm with Isaac. Name tags would be good for us that do not know everyone.
Just sayin'......
