Hello we are back. The farther north we go, the more scarce internet gets! Hopefully we should be able to continue with out too much delay.

Country side heading west on Canada 16 changed to more flat with farms

We are at sea level and they had this nice boardwalk out into the marsh.

Only 3 miles from Stewart is Hyder. Alaska.

While in Hyder you have to eat at the "Bus". Halibut caught fresh that morning She has been serving meals from that same bus for 25 years!

Then a drive to Fish Creek bear viewing area, but the salmon were not in yet. The bear go to the river and fish!

The Scotts; Surely a couple with extremely short Bucket Lists. Who else would take off driving for Alaska, after spending the (northern hemisphere's) winter on the Antarctic?
Many thanks for sharing the trip with the rest of us. It would have been nice to share your company in Winterset, Iowa this past weekend, but I understand that you're off pursuing grander goals than that.

I to am glad to see some more postings and that you are ok. I was hoping it was a part of the internet being a bit scattered up here. Laura and I are in Anchorage now, but in our travels we have had limited cell coverage in a few places. We haven't been as remote as some of the places you are going through in Canada.

I see in the news this morning that the Ferry boat workers union is striking. I hope they get it resolved quickly for you to make your connection work out of Whittier.

Just not getting used to the sun being up so late, glad all the places we have stayed have the block out shades or drapes, sun still shining at 10:15 last night and finally set a little after 11, still plenty light even though the sun was down.
