Today is the 1st day of the feast of Christmas, which goes for 12 days ending at Epiphany, January 6. It has been immortalized in the song, "The 12 Days of Christmas" and today's gift is A Partridge in a Pear Tree! Note: no fasting during the 12 days, only feasting!

PS - It's also Boxing Day in British Commonwealth countries. 8-)
