Best place to get steering parts?

Post by frank_a »

Looking at ididit from summit, $370 for a column, $115 for a swivel floor mount, and $80 for a column drop. Any better place to go in terms of price, or another up and coming company trying to make a name for themselves? I just want to go from home-made and junkyard stuff to new. While I don't have $500 or $600 right now, I will have and just want some factory brand-new stuff!

Thanks for any suggestions and/or ideas.

Morning Frank!

Check Speedway Motors---I THINK I remember seeing some steering columns for a lot less that Flaming River stuff. Again, if my memory is working, they were very simple columns, no wiring for signals/horn etc.

Thanks Al! Actually I'm looking for a tilt column with the GM hookup to replace the '88 Celebrity junk yard column I have in it now. Looking around yesterday a bit I found some cheaper alternatives. I'm gonna keep looking, got time and no $ right now anyways!
