Oh, forgot to ask. Before I go to the boat store looking for clamps, does anyone know what size(circumference of windshield frame) clamp I would need?
Thanks

Most are 7/8 inch but some are not so I would go with 7/8" to start........You might be able to hold two pieces of wood on both sides and measure the ends until you get about the same number on both ends of the wood......that should be close.....

Re: Windshield frame support rods
Are support rods really necessary with a 14" windshield? I added them to my bucket because I installed a taller windshield (19") and am planning to install a top. If not for the top, I would have reinforced the mounts on the inside of the body rather than using support rods.

I think he needs support rods but I also think the lack of a top on the glass may be a bigger problem at 70 miles MPH..that glass has some give but I don't want to be in the car when it comes to you in your lap........

Ok, this is not the windshield I'll be using, but here is where my rods will go. Oh yeah, I will be moving radiator back.
